The laws of life
that are under you
are not unjust.
You are writing them above yourself
with your own name,
and they fall like manna from heaven
without a name under your feet,
and they rule over you with your oath.
Therefore, be righteous,
lest the abyss and the darkness of the fading sky
rule over you,
for the day of the oath is coming.
