The essence of being is not
being suitable for heaven and earth,
but we live in the eye of one gaze
that looks at you from all sides
from the eyes of all others.
Is this eye not yours?
Are you allowing it to survive,
or do you just live according to your will
at the expense of everyone else’s eyes?
But you do not know
that this eye is the essence of your cognisance
until the day of awareness.
And you do not know
that only you decide
whether you will fall or stand before it.
